“It was really tantamount to a pep rally for recruiting teams of jurors to go over to the courthouse and convict people of violent crimes,” he reported.
Buckley claimed jurors from the appreciation 7 days party had been picked for the murder demo of his customer, Itani Milleni, who is accused of beating his estranged wife to dying in 2015.
Buckley questioned for a mistrial around the opinions and state District Judge Te’iva Bell granted the request on Wednesday.
Dane Schiller, a spokesman for the Harris County District Attorney’s Business, reported prosecutors planned to retry Milleni.
“We will do all we can to shield society from this defendant, who is accused of a vicious murder,” Schiller reported. “We will not be deterred in our endeavours to see that all the specifics are introduced to a jury in a truthful trial and that justice is carried out.”

In a statement on Thursday, the Harris County District Clerk’s Business reported guest speakers in the course of Jury Appreciation Week “are only for inspiration and enjoyment. The remarks made by the guest speakers are their personal.”
