Ukraine warfare crimes trial: Russian troopers study their punishments

Two captured Russian troopers have every been sentenced to 11.5 years in jail Tuesday after pleading responsible to shelling a city in japanese Ukraine through the warfare, a report says. 

Alexander Bobikin and Alexander Ivanov had been instructed their punishment whereas standing inside a glass field at a district court docket in central Ukraine, in line with Reuters. 

“The guilt of Bobikin and Ivanov has been confirmed in full,” Choose Evhen Bolybok reportedly stated. 

The choice comes after a 21-year-old Russian soldier was handed a life sentence for capturing a 62-year-old man within the head within the early days of the warfare.

RUSSIAN SOLDIER SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR KILLING UKRAINIAN CIVILIAN 

Bobikin and Ivanov admitted to firing at targets within the Kharkiv area from the Belgorod border area in Russia, in line with Reuters. 

The strikes reportedly destroyed an academic facility within the city of Derhachi.

Their protection lawyer had requested for leniency, claiming the troopers – one an artillery driver and the opposite a gunner – had been simply following army orders and have repented for his or her actions.

“I’m fully responsible of the crimes of which I’m accused. We fired at Ukraine from Russia,” Bobikin instructed the court docket, in line with Reuters.

Each troopers had been captured after they crossed the border in Ukraine and continued shelling, Ukraine’s prosecutor common’s workplace stated.
