A Chicago-area grocery retailer piled hundreds of bananas exterior its storefront to earn a spot within the Guinness Guide of World Information on Wednesday.
With greater than 70,000 kilos of bananas, the Jewel-Osco grocery retailer within the western Chicago suburb of Westmont reportedly broke the world report for the biggest fruit show.

A Guinness consultant was on-site to confirm that the “Banana Bonanza” show broke the earlier report of 40,000 kilos of oranges set in January.

Following the Guinness announcement, bananas got away to clients. Any leftover bananas will reportedly be donated to the Northern Illinois Meals Financial institution.
