Russia: Sweden’s NATO software will ‘inflict appreciable harm’ on European safety

Russia’s International Ministry is warning this week that Sweden’s plan to use for NATO membership will “inflict appreciable harm to the safety of Northern Europe and Europe as an entire.” 

The comment comes as Moscow continues its bloody invasion of Ukraine, which has put Sweden – and its neighbor Finland, which shares a border with Russia – on heightened alert. 

“Sweden’s accession to NATO will inflict appreciable harm to the safety of Northern Europe and Europe as an entire,” the Russian International Ministry stated in an announcement. “The Russian Federation must take response measures, each military-technical and others, to curb the threats to its nationwide safety which come up on this context.”
